Romantic Beach House Vipingo sits directly on the reef-fringed coastline north of Mombasa, where the coral shelf turns the water turquoise at low tide and the sound of the ocean never quite fades.

The property is anchored by a hand-built lighthouse tower — now a private suite — alongside a cluster of cottages, a beachfront pool, and gardens shaded by coconut palm. It's a home first, and a hideaway second.

The free-form pool sits right where the garden meets the reef, so the horizon stays in view whether you're swimming at noon or floating under the moon. A second plunge pool by the tower stays lit and warm well after the sun goes down.

A private chef prepares fresh Swahili-coast and international menus — grilled reef fish, coconut curries, tropical fruit straight from the garden — served on the terrace, by the pool, or at the water's edge as the sun goes down.
